Audience Resarch
The Companies:
FaceBook:
Facebook is a social media website, this means that anyone can post their own personal views on their own chosen subject. This would be helpful for the movie creators as they can read what people have said put about their product. Also, people can look at the content creators FaceBook page and comment, like and share one of their posts.

This isn’t always a good idea for researching the audience as many opinions will be different. They could also just be liked/hated just because someone that they know has left a review like that. Sometimes, people just like everything in their news feed, this means that your audience won’t give you an accurate answer on how the product was viewed.
Instagram:
Instagram is also a Social Media website, again like FaceBook, anyone can say their own personal views on what Marvel has posted. They can also like a post or share it with their friends. This is a helpful way for the creators to research what their audience is saying about their product and what to include in their next product. Here is an example of what one of Marvel’s Instagram posts looks like. This shows the post, and comments, like and how old the post is.

The fact that anyone can say anything isn’t very helpful as they can say things which aren’t their actual opinion on the product. Some people will also like the content just because someone they know has, this means that they will get false reviews which will mean inaccurate research.
Twitter:
Twitter is again another social media website, this means that everyone is able to upload their own personal views on the post which they have selected. This would be helpful for the product creators as they can read what people have said put about what they have created. Also, people can look at the content creators twitter feed and retweet, like and share one of their posts.

Rotten Tomatoes:
Rotten Tomatoes isn’t a social media website, it is a website dedicated to reviews of movies and TV shows. This means that the reviews are from both professional reviewers and the audience. The audience reviews are censored so there aren’t any hate comments. This would be helpful for the movie creators as they can read what people have said put about their product and it will be correct.
