These are the locations I wish to shoot for my music video. This location is the Botanic Gardens in Cambridge, and here are some of the places I wish to set the scenes. I have also included a map for where the location is and also the street view of the Botanic gardens so actors and crew know what to look for when they come to the location.

Rules for shooting - Set by owner of location:
M2: Discuss the issues and risks involved in producing the planned promo
BBFC Regulations:
Having looked at the BBFC's guidelines for regulation, I need to consider these for my audio-visual product. The BBFC regulates films and online music videos, so I will need to send my finished product to the BBFC before it gets released. Considering my target audience for the Audio-Visual product, I need to ensure that the product is rated the highest of a 15. To ensure that I get this rating or lower, I need to comply with the rules and regulations set by the BBFC, different rules apply for different ratings of the products. I believe that my product wouldn't need to get a rating as they only apply ratings to videos which require ratings of 12 and upwards.
To get a rating of 12, I would need to consider the following;
After looking at all of these regulatory rules set by the BBFC, I feel that my planned product won't be effected by the BBFC, as they can only rate music videos 12 and upwards, so my product won't apply to their rules and therefore it won't need any ratings.
To get a rating of 12, I would need to consider the following;
- Discriminatory language or behaviour in my Audio-Visual product must not be endorsed by the work as a whole. Aggressive discriminatory language or behaviour is unlikely to be acceptable unless clearly condemned. As my planned music video has no talking, discussion or interaction with other actors in it, so therefore discrimination rules wouldn't effect my product as my product does have any content which would challenge this rule.
- Misuse of drugs must be infrequent and should not be glamorised or give instructional detail. Again, as my planned music video doesn't have any misuse of drugs, so therefore the misuse of drugs rule won't effect my product as the music video won't challenge this rule.
- No promotion of potentially dangerous behaviour which children are likely to copy. No glamorisation of realistic or easily accessible weapons such as knives. No endorsement of anti-social behaviour. As my planned video won't have any use of violence or weapons, so I won't need to worry about my product being effected by these rules, as my planned music video will not challenge these rules.
- No promotion of potentially dangerous behaviour which children are likely to copy. No glamorisation of realistic or easily accessible weapons such as knives. No endorsement of anti-social behaviour. As mentioned before, my planned content has no form of interaction or dangerous behaviour, so therefore I do not need to worry about this rule, this means that my product won't even be considered for a 12.
- There may be moderate language. Strong language may be permitted, depending on the manner in which it is used, who is using the language, its frequency within the work as a whole and any special contextual justification. For my planned content, there isn't any form of speech, and in the song there aren't any lyrics, so therefore I won't need to consider this regulatory rule, as there will be no way my product will oppose this rule.
- There may be nudity, but in a sexual context it must be brief and discreet. My planned music video has no form of nudity or sexual content, so therefore my music video product won't be effected by this regulatory rule.
- Sexual activity may be briefly and discreetly portrayed. Moderate sex references are permitted, but frequent crude references are unlikely to be acceptable. However, I will not need to consider this issue as no content like this will be present in my Audio-Visual product, which means that my product will not be effected by this form or regulation and I won't even be rated a 12.
- There may be moderate physical and psychological threat and horror sequences. Although some scenes may be disturbing, the overall tone should not be. Horror sequences should not be frequent or sustained. As mentioned before, my planned content has no form of horror or threat, so therefore I do not need to worry about this rule, as my product won't oppose this method of regulation.
- There may be moderate violence but it should not dwell on detail. There should be no emphasis on injuries or blood, but occasional gory moments may be permitted if justified by the context. Sexual violence may only be implied or briefly and discreetly indicated, and its depiction must be justified by context. As my planned video won't have any use of violence, I won't need to consider my product being effected by these rules, as my planned music video will not challenge these rules.
After looking at all of these regulatory rules set by the BBFC, I feel that my planned product won't be effected by the BBFC, as they can only rate music videos 12 and upwards, so my product won't apply to their rules and therefore it won't need any ratings.
Legalities:
The key legal and Ethical issues which I need to consider when making my Audio-Visual promo are; Copyright issues, Discrimination, Trademarks, Representation, Harm and offence and Privacy. These will all impact my product as I need to follow these rules to ensure my product is perfect for distribution and public consumption.
Copyright:
Copyright is the legal protection of content created by others, this means the content is created in someone else's name and they own the content. But, others are able to apply to use the copyrighted content for their own uses, but this is done through a legal contracted matter. As I plan to use content in my production which is copyrighted, I will need to apply for permission to use the content. Music is a key example for my product, usually I would have to apply for use of the music, but as I am creating a music video for the artist, they have given me the rights to use the recording.
Discrimination:
Discriminatory content will not be used at all in my music video, as the planned content states, there is no interaction or acting in the planned content. Discrimination is creating content which discriminates against Gender, Race, Sex, and Disability. As my planned content has no form of this, I am safe from my product begin effected by this issue.
Trademarks:
A trademark is a certain indication used by a business or company which defines and makes stand out from other companies. This legality means I need to consider what is visible in my finished product, I need to ensure that there aren't any trademarks visible in the sequence. To prevent this issue, I will have to look at every shot we shoot and analyse all the frames for any possible misuse of trademarks and logos.
Representation:
Representation refers to the way you present people, places, objects, events, cultural identities and other abstract concepts. Such representations may be in speech or writing as well as still or moving pictures. To ensure my project isn't effected by this issue, I need to ensure that the final content doesn't alter the way that these come across and there is no effect on any of these.
Harm and Offence:
As I have considered the BBFC guidelines for ages, I need to ensure that the content is in fact suitable for the young audience who are allowed to watch this content. Harm and Offence is where I need to protect children and young people from unsuitable content as well as their rights of freedom of expression and freedom to received information.
Privacy:
When creating my Audio-Visual promo, I need to consider privacy. This rule means that I can't interfere with other people's personal lives and I can produce any content of people without their approval. This means that I have to carefully consider everything I shoot and everyone who is part of the production, then I can ensure that the final produced sequence doesn't breach anyone's privacy.
